For example, if she feeds the cats and gives them water (when they need it), I give her a quarter. If the scoops the litter box, another quarter. Folding towels, washing windows/mirrors (she loves the windex spray bottle), etc. It actually can pay out pretty well for them because if you figure at 5 or 6 years old just for those things I mentioned, a kid could pull in about $1.25 every other day which makes them feel good, and you can know that you are giving them a substantial (for that age) chunk of change, but they've earned it.
