		<description>Nintendo Japan has officially released their DS Browser website: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ds/browser/

On that page, it indicates that Flash and PDF files will not work on the DS browser. It also indicates that extremely large pictures, animated pictures, and sound will not work. That's kind of a bummer, but not a big deal to me. In fact, this is probably a good thing; should I happen to stumble across one of those "MySpace" pages that all the kids are talkin' about, or one of those dumbass talking Flash ads, I won't have to hear to it. ;)

The website also says that using email, blogs, bulletin boards, auctions, and shopping sites should work but, of course, Nintendo can't guarantee it as it partially depends on how the site is designed and scripted.

The Slot-2 (GBA) card is required, but the website just says that the DS needs the extra memory - it doesn't specify if it's required because of a special software on the card.

So, regarding my questions above:
* Flash support? No
* Java support? Probably not
* Automatic upgrades? Unknown
* PNG support? Hopefully
* PDF support? No
* FTP access? Almost definitely no
* External keyboard in the works? Unknown
* Is Datel’s 4GB hard drive compatible with the DS Browser, or will one be forced to use the included Slot-2 (GBA) card for RAM? Unknown
* Music formats (WAV, MP3, WMA, MIDI, etc) support? No
* Video formats (WMV, MOV, etc) support? Almost certainly no
* Streaming formats support? Almost certainly no

Oh well - wishful thinking.  8-&gt;
